Who writes this site
I'm Sandeep Bandyopadhyay, and I run Tech Y Cluster and am responsible for everything published on it. I'm a senior engineer with more than twenty years in aerospace and manufacturing, where a design either survives testing or it doesn't. I hold the PMP certification and Six Sigma training, so I tend to judge technology by what it does to cost, schedule and error rates rather than by launch-event adjectives.
Tech Y Cluster is independent. There's no company behind it, no newsroom and no team of ghostwriters. When an article says "I tried this", I did.
I use AI tools to help research and draft articles. Every article is then fact-checked against its sources and edited by me before it is published, and I am accountable for what it says.
What the site covers
- AI and technology: how AI tools behave on real tasks, what changes when a new model or chip arrives, and where the claims outrun the evidence.
- Gadgets and reviews: buying guides built on manufacturers' specifications, independent measurements and published ergonomics and standards guidance, with the trade-offs left in. Hands-on reviews say so clearly.
- How-to guides: step-by-step instructions for getting practical work done, written so a beginner can follow them and an expert can skim them.
- Tech business: how technology companies and products make money, and what that means for the people buying them.
I don't cover celebrity news, politics or health products. If a topic has nothing to do with technology you can use, it doesn't belong here.
How articles are researched
Every factual claim should trace back to something you can check: the manufacturer's documentation, an official announcement, a published paper, or my own testing. Where I rely on someone else's reporting, I name and link the source. Where I haven't tested something myself, I say so.
Technology dates quickly, so older articles are reviewed. When a post is updated, it carries a visible "Updated" line with the month. When I get something wrong, I correct it and note the correction rather than quietly changing the text.
Some pages show advertising, which pays for hosting. Advertisers have no say in what I write, and any affiliate link will be labelled as one.
